African Mask - Assemblage

A ceremonial mask comprised of modern office supplies such as printer paper, staples, packaging cardboard and more. The tension between the everyday materials and the spiritual meaning of these masks, creates a dissonance, amplified by the use of aloe vera leaves as hair, between spirituality and a connection to nature and the cold, sterile essence of modern office life.
