Hummus Tray

The work uses the familiar and inviting image of a hummus dish, but constructs it from polyurethane foam and cardboard - industrial, inedible materials. The gap between the appearance of food and the material from which it is made turns the dish into something simultaneously familiar and strange, raising questions about artificiality, processing, and the distance between appearance and what lies beneath it.
